Event Details

Douglas Crockford is Yahoo!'s JavaScript architect and a member of the committee designing future versions of the world's most popular programming language.  In the first three months of 2010, Douglas will be delivering his acclaimed series of lectures on the history of JavaScript, its features, and its use.  These public lectures will take place on Yahoo!'s main campus in Sunnyvale, California; attendance is free, but seating is limited.

Tonight's session covers the history of the JavaScript programming language, from its inception at Netscape in the early 1990s to the present day.

  • 5:30 p.m. Doors open
  • 5:30-6 p.m. Pizza and beverages
  • 6 p.m. Lecture begins (approximate running time: 2 hrs.)
